Greg Young

Term: 2019-2024
President Greg Young joined the West Valley Water District Board of Directors in December 2015. He represents Division 5 that includes the communities of Bloomington, Rialto, and portions of unincorporated San Bernardino County
Greg is a fourth-generation resident of the community of Bloomington. Greg graduated from Bloomington Christian Schools and has gone on to earn a Bachelors and Master’s Degree from Cal Poly Pomona in Business Administration with an emphasis in Operations Management and Project Management.
Professionally, Greg has worked both in the private sector and in public sector, including working for the United States House of Representatives and his own project management consulting business. Currently, Greg works as an administrator for the County of San Bernardino at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center leading their Office of Research and Grants and Graduate Medical Education Office. Greg has dedicated the use of his talents to helping his community and West Valley Water District improve its operational and financial stability since joining the board. Additionally, Greg holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute which he earned in November of 2013. Finally, Greg also holds several certificates in Research Administration from the Society of Research Administrators International.
As President, Greg is focused on continuing to improve the district’s financial and operational successes through numerous projects and initiatives. One example is the historic expansion of the district’s Roemer Surface Water Treatment Plant that is set to break ground in early 2023 after many years of planning and development which Greg has participated in as Chair of the Engineering and Planning Committee.
Greg is excited about the progress the district has made in recent years and looks forward to working collaboratively with his fellow board members to continue to move West Valley Water District in a positive direction.
